2 things to think about that'll pretty much see you right, @Llamadance :

The sequence is LEGS-BACK-ARMS-arms-back-legs.

You shouldn't have your arms and legs bent at the same time.

If you do those 2 you're pretty much golden, or at least you won't make me grind my teeth if I ever see you rowing in the gym. ;-)

To be fair, those rowing videos you shared @Nellers helped me no end. I was 'naturally' on the right path but they aided my understanding.

Starting the year as I mean to go on: I've done a UT2/Aerobic session of 3 x 17 min @ r18 this morning. Its nice to see the distance/pace moving on gradually but I'm also now seeing the ave HR and peak HR coming down a but too.

Nice one, NDWDave.

I've just had a mixed up lunchtime session.

Plan had 3 x 9 min at r20 (tempo/UT1 pace) but I'd said I was going to do this 5 min at r24 test regularly to track progress, so I wanted to get that done.

What I settled on was a good warm up, followed by the 5 min test (2.1 sec better on the split/ 23m further than last time, but ave and max HR were both higher), then a 5 min easy recover row. Once I'd settled down I did 2 x 9 min at r20 for that tempo stimulus, and another 5 min to warm down. Totalled about 10.5km and I'm feeling pretty knackered.

Oh, I'm over the worst of it but still a little washed out. Throat is tight though. I'm told this will continue for a while yet. Still testing positive as well. I'm out of action until at least the middle of the month, I reckon.

As I said on the covid support thread, I cannot recall ever feeling as ill as I did with this. To be avoided if at all possible. I'm just glad to be at the back end of it now. Anything on top of that is a bonus.

Yeah, it's nasty. It's not the Flu, and that's bad enough. Glad you're coming out of the other side of it though. Look after yourself and don't rush back to exercising. It can linger and take you by surprise when you think you're feeling better.
