Thanks all. No danger of me doing another one today, Jef! Glad I’ve done it, but not planning a repeat any time soon. That said, feels like it took less out of me then running a marathon at that pace would have done.

How quick was it Rich ?

I’ve rowed 4 but always suffered in the last half hour and blown the time completely !

It was quicker than I'll ever run one! I can't imagine doing a full Mara on the rower.

Doing the Half is plenty for me.

Thank you for pointing out the previous months totals, Jef. I wasn't aware.

That said, I think CW is safe because my total for today was 6,000m.

3.48 Jef - paced it relatively conservatively, probably included about 8-10 mins not moving (stood up to stretch and have a drink every half hour or so), was generally at low 2.30s per 500m

35 minutes at r18 this morning (2.4c at the gun. Almost tropical.) Royal flush on the splits. Averaged 2:15. First split 2:18.5 then progressively faster on each split through to a 2:11.3 last 7 minutes, all holding r18. Quite pleased with that and it felt good.

Starting off the month with an improved 12km@20 ( personal long favourite )

12km -49:06.7 - 2:02.7 @ 20 s/r

Not sure yet how to run up to the 2km time trial next Monday. Still not doing any sprint intervals .. may try a set of 8 x 500s to get a feel for pace.
