And to add to my totally justified admiration of Mrs Nellers I went out and tried to do a 1km tt after her and blew it out at 500m.

I'm just not in her league. Never was. Lucky bloke etc.

Well done to Mrs Nellers, sounds like she has talent... and a good coach!

Well done on the 7k Muttley, you're rebuilding nicely! I like a bit of "just row" myself, which is what I did today, I put a film on and rowed for the duration then rounded it up to 14 miles 👍

Easy paced session this morning. 3 x 5km capped at r20 working on a smooth force curve and consistent pacing.

22:14, 22:15, 22:15, all at r20 average.

I think that counts as consistent.:-)

Blimey, at that rate Mrs Nellers will be outpacing most of us soon enough!

That's a good consistent session at low rate Nellers!

I had a go at the Cross Team Challenge 7 x 1 min/70 sec rest, my first hard session in about 6 weeks and found it sooo hard after recent overindulgences, I quit on the 3rd rep 🥴
So did 5k at r18. With warm up/cool down that's almost 10k in total today.

Nice effort Craggy. I found it really hard to hold intensity after too much beer/cheese/food over Christmas too. It'll come back when normality returns.

Our rower got a good workout today. I've done a 6 x 2km tempo pace session after Mrs Nellers did her first proper intervals session.

I got her doing 4 x 500m at 2:07 (from 2:05 on her 1km tt the other day) with 500m easy recoveries. Her biggest issue was trying to slow down enough on the recoveries but she got the hang of it after a couple and smashed the session. With warm up and down added on she did about 6.5km today in a bit over half an hour. She doesn't know it yet but I'm planning on both of us doing BRIC next year. ;-)

Just 40 minutes or thereabouts, steady at 2:20-ish, nice and easy. I think that's the rehab done for the rowing, and another gentle walk-jog tomorrow to check the toe one last time. Then it's the New Year and start ramping it up to where I was before I decided to drop some furniture on my foot.

A little advice Muttley: Don't drop furniture on your foot in 2020 except as a last resort to prevent it dropping on something more vital. Just a thought.;-)

Thank you for this excellent advice, Nellers. It is similar to what Mother of Muttley said as she drove me and my hurty toe back home from the near-death-experience clinic.
