Impressed that you were feeling relatively comfortable at half way at that pace mate. That’s proper pacing that is. The first half of any race is just transport. The second half is business.

Just knocked out 3 x 5km at fairly comfortable pace. Actually had to put a fan on in the shed after the first one!

Fantastic Sinj, sounds like you cruised the first half, that third 500 is always tricky but the way you brought it home shows there's more to come πŸ’ͺ

I've decided to give BRIC a miss, I still haven't shaken off the cough I've had for a month and it feels a very long time since I last did a hard session. It's disappointing but I'll try again next year.

On the upside it means I can keep my NHS appointment tomorrow for a cortisone injection in my knee. I get no pain on the erg but it hurts with weight bearing exercise, so I'm looking forward to seeing if this helps πŸ‘

The curse of the velodrome strikes again. πŸ˜”

Sounds like a good opportunity to get the knee sorted though.

Knocked out a 60 minute steady state this morning, except that I got a bt carried away and did the last 250 at about 1:50 pace which is a bit silly!

Thanks Nellers, yes I'll have another easy week and decide what to train for next, I'm a little tempted by marathon training being as my partner is doing the London marathon and will be disappearing for 2-3 hours most Sunday mornings πŸ˜‰ nice session there mate, that 250 should blow the cobwebs away!

It damned near blew me away! When I saw a 1:41 on the screen I thought I was perhaps asking for trouble and eased back a little.

Only a little, mind.πŸ˜‰
