Azx that is just awesome! I am not keen on weights and gym stuff... My shoulder issues now ongoing for 3 months mean I have lost all muscle tone in my right side. I am dying to get back to tai chi and yoga, to build back up again... |

tummy said feed me so I've just downed some electrolyte drink - can't stop for lunch yet! I also need to do stuff at lunch so tummy will have to wait!

Drinking a good call EP! With the amount of training you do, you tend to be quite dehydrated...

Finally committed to shedding the last stone or so to get me back to the ‘healthy’ BMI band (and more comfortably into some favourite summer clothes). Decided to calorie count as I’ve found to effective before and it’s a good way of reminding myself what is what and cutting out junk and snacks. Also encourages me to make sure I am exercising regularly! I also have lunch provided at school whilst I serve & supervise my class eating so this method means I can work my calorie intake around that. I began yesterday. How often do most folks weigh in? I've done both weekly and daily previously. Currently undecided about what to do this time. |

I initially did daily, but it was disheartening as progress was so slow. Weekly worked better for me.

Daily and look at the trend. Using trendweight.com even when my weight goes up for a few days, the trend is typically still downward. If I were to weigh weekly and weigh on an up day, that would be disappointing for me.

same as azx - I had my own spreadsheet, but Trendweight is much easier. If you have a fitbit or fitbit account it also does the weekly average for you. Daily weighing means I learn the patterns, what causes "water" weight changes etc |

Top tip: stay away from the Sunday roast at the pub with a couple of pints. That sends my trendweight haywire for half a week. Interestingly, my resting heart goes up by 10 overnight too.

That's the alcohol azx! Just one or two drinks increases my HR the next day. It is essentially poison, so it makes sense. |
