But then the main reason I started running in the first place was to prepare for the zombie apocalypse, so it would have been rude not to get at least the vest, right?

It's important to train for that too.

The weather has been glorious apart from 1 day and I have cycled, walked and run in them - very comfortable even in plus 30 degree temperatures last week.
