A nice run on bike paths through my home town. First run since my operation and it went very well indeed. Just need to get into consistent training now. And of course, get my fitness back! 🏃♂️

Did a 5k at the country park. Kept to the paths because its a bit muddy in the field, and felt good running around in the sunshine. Will step it up in the week. Maybe.

Post ultra, feeling sore and lacking usual energy levels but couldn’t resist having an hour on brilliant sunshine early on Sunday Morning where most had rolled over and gone back to sleep. Quite a few pleasantries exchanged and saw one veteran waiting for the bus to take him to the parade . |

I'm running tonight, so I've been nursing an historically niggly knee after some leg pressing at the gym yesterday. Sensational sunset over Liverpool Bay just now.

I ran a good half today, SB, which gets me from relegation zone to an UTMOST promotion. I was a bit surprised to also get an SB in both 10 km and 10 mi from Fetch - suprising since I have already had a good crack at these in the latter half of the year. I put it down to good training advice from my watch, fast shoes, a flat course near Oslo airport, and very good conditions even though it was about 3C.
