Had my first run in days yesterday. The combination of holiday duties and snow kept me off the road and I can't afford a treadmill. Anyway, I'd walked with my wife in the morning and saw quite a few runners out so I got changed in the afternoon and did a steady 5k in 30 minutes. I was pretty breathless toward the end. I don't know why but my VO2Max, as reported by Garmin, has taken a nosedive over the last few weeks. It's dropped from 47 to 37. I've had no Covid symptoms but do wonder if I may have had it asymptomatically. Anyway, I'm back on the road and looking forward to a year of running.

Yesterday evening: close to 0 deg. C, fine on beach & trails. No-one within a quarter of a mile of me. Now *that's* distancing!

After catching a huge dose of CBA my 5M run turned into 7M once I got off the sofa & out the door.
Eerily quiet with little traffic. Walkers and runners aplenty though.
Quite a stiff breeze which made my fingers cold even with gloves on.

Morning - up at winners o'clock, 4 miles with head torch.
Solitary fisherman down by the river with hugo- a bulldog. Gave hugo a head rub, before carrying on.

5K for me this morning. There was a fog that didn't really lift until I finished. it was bitterly cold and I didn't feel like I got going. Run done though and valuable screen break.
