Bella had moved on, leaving a fresh SW breeze, helping me along the beach. Turning, trails of Crosby leisure centre were soggy in places but prom & beach were fine. By the boating lake, the bog almost claimed a shoe or two but no harm done.
Just on 5 miles for the first time since September.

Less pleasant than usual because I wore my sticky-rubber shoes to try to avoid slipping on the ice and they have neither the heel-toe differential nor the cushioning of my usual shoes.

10k this morning, slightly Icey underfoot in places - done a couple of 4 mile runs this week the hamstring seems fine. Finished 2020 on 726 miles, slightly disappointing as I had aime for 800 miles - after years of being on the 1500 mile thread, I thought it would be a breeze, a combination of work, the odd injury, put paid to the ambition.
No slacking in 2021 (fast forward to 31.12.21, where I post the above again!)

ye, jono, been a tough test all year. glad your hammy's onside.
In a bid to hit 500 miles this year, I'm on a 4-day streak - just like olden days but harder  Last night, icy walking to beach, fine on sand and trail, full moon; saw a group gathered round a camp fire in the dunes.
