Without wanting to be the person who shares their own thread link, I've started a support thread for parents. fetcheveryone.com/forum__61294__children_off_school_check_in_here_for_support

Thanks Purps I don't have kids but I'm sure that will be useful to many Fetchies.

Thinking of you all wherever you are. Today I have been to the Blue Mountains one thing with Oz there is plenty of opportunities to be out and about without people around. We did see others doing the same but not big crowds and plenty respect for distancing. To be outdoors in such a beautiful place is food for the soul and more appreciated knowing how quickly life has changed for us all. Make the most of every positive. |

Travel agents have said as we’re here it’s ok to stay but we’re keeping a close eye on things. Our travel plans are pretty self isolating we’re not going anywhere with lots of people mostly bush & beach walks. To be honest before we came we looked at cancelling but to do so we’d have lost £10k the big problem with a lot of this worldwide spread was travel companies/ travel insurance not allowing you to cancel as the WHO & FCO advice at the time was it was ok to travel. |

Good to hear from you GG. I wanted to joke with you that you may not want to come back, but it didn't feel appropriate. Stay safe and well and I hope you can enjoy the rest of your holiday. We have been out for a couple of walks and I've been out for a run, but it's starting to feel a bit irresponsible as there are so many people out and about. So me and him are essentially on social isolation from now on. I'm still hoping to run and walk a bit for mental and physical health, but not sure it's the right thing to do. Something inspired me to tag a lovely Fetchie in an Instagram post today and I'm so glad I did now that I know she's going through a really tough time. A couple of weeks ago I sent some flowers to someone else and they landed at just the right time. I'm a bit grateful that my witchy intuition has decided to turn itself on. Usually I never get hints and subtle indications. You pretty much have to bash me over the head with any news! |

GG - where are you flying via and are your tickets confirmed? We’re trying to get our daughter home from New Zealand and are realising that we probably can’t. Singapore closed to transit, flights via US suspended, seats on any other route going for >£8000 one way in economy

I think I would listen to UK government advice, rather than travel agent advice.

Girl is stuck - she’s sitting it out in New Zealand. I feel better with less uncertainty. |
