I had to pull out for medical reasons and emailed the organisers - they very kindly offered me a refund minus a small admin fee. That was quite a while ago but is worth xontacting them. They may be happy to allow Mr to use his place next year instead? This is such a good race, shame I can't do it this year.

OK, there's about 4 million posts on this thread and I haven't got time to read even a tenth of them. Can someone who's done this before tell me if its necessary to take bearings and things, as per the instructions? I'm not the best at doing that.

:) Phew :)

Looking forward to seeing you too Mrs J. How long do you think this will take you? I'm wondering if I would be able to keep up with you?

I'm looking forward to this. I think it was my first 20mile+ event a couple of years ago. I've not decided whether to pootle around, or try and race it, but should be good either way.

I'm going to be taking it very slow if I'm up to it at all, gives more time for cake eating, right? ;)
