Benjamina wasn't one of my favourite three I wanted to see in the final, but we're at the stage now that I don't want to see any of them go :(

We did have a chuckle in this house at the knights' mis-placed lances, though.

Little Nemo - this kitten can
Next week's challenges look more like it. Lovely French things and hopefully no yukky aniseed or marzipan!

Fingers crossed that Selasi makes the final.

I quite liked the peacock - especially the inside. I agree with V'rap though - Nadia's peacock tail in the last series was so good a less shiny marzipan one is a brave idea.

I'm sad to see Benjamina go, this week was a rubbish theme. Glad Selasi is still there.

It was a truly dreadful theme. This series appears to have included a lot of barrel-scraping challenges. Apart from the dampfnudeln, which nobody else much liked, I haven't seen anything I've fancied attempting.

I'll break with the thread culture here and say that I like marzipan, and thought the swan coffee cake looked good and sounded delicious. The celtic biscuits looked pretty too (some of them).

Choosing to make a peacock was a brave choice after the last series. an't say I was over-struck with the idea but the three layers of green were interesting.

Given the bowl/barrel-scraping nature of this year's challenges it may be 'a very good thing' that the current version is coming to an end.

I love marzipan too. I didn't watch the previous series but I wouldn't wanted to have eaten this week's peacock with all that colouring. Green poo! I quite like aniseed and caraway too. Tough call on who will win. Any of them could have a great day or a bad day.
