It was the sort of thing that might just be amusing if a mum with no great kitchen skills threw it together for her seven-year-old's birthday party, though I can't imagine anyone actually wanting to eat any of it. But in the GBBO quarter finals? I thought Jane's showstopper cake looked lovely and was very much in keeping with the theme. I think Selasi will go next and am now hoping Andrew wins.

I think there was lemon cake, mint cake or mint somewhere, plus a secret stash of blueberries in the cake. does not make a good combination in my mind.
Star Oct 2016 1:53pm, 13 Oct 2016 9,998 posts	0 Star there really hasn't been anyone that has been consistent the whole way through this year. they have all had bad weeks, or bad bakes within the weeks. well, one of my favourites - Andrew - is still standing, but I do have a wee soft spot for Selasi and Jane

I like Candice (she's the least posh which counts for something in my book) I find Andrew strangely irritating (but that's just me again) I love Selasi - but it seems too obvious to like him, Jane is sort of dull .... so up with the almost universally disliked Candice.
Winded Oct 2016 4:08pm, 13 Oct 2016 4,809 posts	0 Winded I'm becoming a Candice supporter - I was scared away by the lipstick to start with. I also thought that for the theme a maze was an interesting choice - a pity it didn't live up to the concept.
