I don't think the marchpane had to stand up - Jane's boring but decorative cake certainly didn't do the standing up thing. I tend to judge the show stoppers on the basis of if I saw that in the window of a posh cake shop would I be wowed. The peacock certainly did that.
On the basis of talent, Jane, Canice and Andrew into the final. Selasi is very amusing, he looks the entire time as if its the first time he's ever baked anything, and has a good sense of humour - but I think he's out of his league now. Benjamina had the talent and flair sometimes, but as they say - one bad week and you're gone. I'd have had her, Candice and Andrew in the final before the start of this week's programme.

Do you mean the person leaving on that episode, WS, just before they announce who's going? It's always not the person the camera's on until the split second Sue or Mel say the name, then it switches to the one leaving.

A friend of ours works with Selasi. He says there were weeks and weeks and weeks of pretty much compulsory cake eating in their office at the beginning of the year. Tho Selasi wouldn't confirm what all the baking was for, people pretty much guessed.

I quite like Flora- along with Nadiya and Tamal, but Andrew seems all the things you say, Wobbling  - plus (dare I say this?) a bit of a soppy Mummy's boy.
