Still contemplating Ben Folds. If it's not too late.

Just sprang for a ticket for The Joy Hotel in Nov. Been kinda obsessed with their song, Jeremiah recently and still play it at least a couple of times a day despite the fact I think it might be a religious song ... I'm not sure though, I'm not great at interpreting lyrics.

Just been to a Heritage live event at Audley end. Not really a gig as it was too big I much prefer smaller sweatier venues without the VIP areas etc.

Heaven 17 and OMD were both good. I saw OMD in 1980 and they were just as good as I remember but the headline Soft Cell were really poor left after 30 mins of their set. Very dull

Had tickets for that, Hertford Tiger, but didn’t go. Have always had a soft spot for all three acts but sad to hear that Soft Cell were disappointing

OMD more than made up for it. Very entertaining.

Bingley festval last weekend. Ian Brown headlining the Saturday night, so we left before he came on. It seems most other people left soon after he came on calling him a poor karaoke act. Why you have someone, who can't sing, "singing" to a backing track (which had technical issues!) as a festival headliner is beyond me. Razorlight who were on before and did an amazing set would have been far more deserving of the extra half hour.

New Model Army were the highlight for me. Took me back to my Angsty teens and still sounded awesome. And they were obviously enjoying themselves.

Somewhat disappointed with the smaller stages who usually have a good range of new bands. Shanghai Treason ("Yorkshire Celtic Banjo Punks") were the standout smaller band.

Plus it was great to see Tribes back on the circuit. Their new material is really good.
