Off to a free gig at the Lucky Pig in Clipstone St (London) this evening, supporting young artists. It’ll make a change from all these big venues.

Managed to get tickets to see Bloc Party at the Hairy Dog in Derby tomorrow. Its strange that they are playing at a small punk dive in Derby, think its to support the venues trust.

Saw The Comet is Coming at Factory International in Manchester last week. Band were brilliant, incredible energy. Brand new venue, only recently opened, combination of seating and standing, great sound quality, would definitely travel across the Pennines again to a gig there. Deershed Festival this weekend, real mix of bands, not as strong a line up as previous years (in my opinion). Looking forward to The Comet is Coming (again), Public Service Broadcasting, The Delgados, Gaz Coombes and This is Kit as well as discovering new to me gems. |

Just got tickets to see Bob Vylan in Dublin in November. Tripped booked to take my daughter to see Inhaler whilst we are there, not for me so she is going into that one with my wife. Great November lone up now with also: Front Bottoms They Might Be Giants Ben Folds. |
