Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Yes mine’s done that. Once was when I was standing still, waiting for my daughter to come out of robing for her graduation, when time was getting tight!

It also buzzes/beeps for high heart rate, I had to change that as it was alerting while I was still recovering from a bike ride.

Looking at my Garmin stress records - can always tell when I was in a work meeting or watching Southampton!

Pretty sure for most notifications, you can turn them off when they appear (you can also turn them off proactively). I still get recovery improved alerts and the end of day summary before bed but nothing else (unless I've forgotten something).

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if someone creates a workout in the app can this be shared with others? Like for example a club interval session - save everyone the effort of programming it.

I read something about that recently - apparently it can't. Or at least, not as easily as you'd like it to be. Seems like an obvious "missing" in Garmin's offering as I can see how useful that would be in a club environment, or at least a nice option to have for those that want to use it.

I was trying to find a way to share a workout with a group recently, didn't find one.

Thanks, it would make life easier for folks. I won't waste my time looking for a way to do it then.

I think the only way is to extract the workout definition file from the watch (it is a .fit file like much else in the Garmin infrastructure) and then that can be whatsapped or whatever to individuals. But would be v clunky. Though no reason why a competent group leader using a club app like "spond" or something like that couldn't add that to the notifications etc.

There must be a way, my friend who is a coach creates sessions for others and sends them to their watches. I’ll have to ask her how she does it.

On the subject of stress notifications - I had a temporarily higher than normal heart rate due to a health problem and got that notification a few times when something pushed my heart rate up a bit.
