strava does it's own thing. There's usually a button to remove any correction it does, might only be available on web though.

That doesn't answer why there's such a difference obviously (there must be some data strava in interpreting differently) but the fact strava does it's own processing could lead to differences.

Ah, maybe strava is showing me a short stopping point because you've got privacy zone enabled? Red herring from me there!

Anyone else having problems picking up the satellite signal recently? My 945 usually picks up signal almost instantaneously but recently (past week or so) it's been taking up to 10 minutes.

there's something wrong if it takes 10 minutes. Give it a hard reset by pressing and holding the light button until the screen fades. Then pressing it again to reboot. You won't lose any data doing this.

Yes and no.

I have a data field showing GPS signal strength, and that usually latches on pretty quickly - but it can take absolutely ages to get the "green ring".
AIUI, the amber ring means it's got a good enough lock to track horizontal locations, but the vertical may be a little sketchy; the green ring means it's good enough for vertical too.

I found this, about updating the EPO file - don't know if it will help:

Thanks - I've reset the watch and I'll see whether that's made any difference tomorrow when I go on my next run.

Andy - I've sort of got the same problem, although it can take a while to go orange too.

Totally random but my lad has a garmin vivofit jr 3, seems he has had a reaction to the silicone strap.

Onlline research implies there are only Silicone straps available so does anyone have any tips or ideas for treating/coating a strap?

Hi Gobi, I used to get irritation from the strap but get around it by changing wrists occasionally. Also, try washing the strap (and the wrist) under water with soap occasionally!
