Due you think they got their date formats mixed up? 01/04 and 04/01?

I'm not really sure which normal model it's based on. There's an Avengers one too. I only found out about them because some new badges were listed on Garmin Connect.

Vivoactive 4 I reckon - specs and buttons match.
Shiny new watch announced today, Venu 2 Plus with AMOLED display and mic/speaker so you can make/receive calls via a smartphone, and use voice control on the smartphone. Not for me, but it might sell a few to people who'd fancy an Apple watch but are deep in the Garmin ecosyste.

I opened the DC Rainmaker review of the Venu 2 Plus earlier, but I haven't had the stamina to read it yet.

Quimby, the video overview is quicker to get the basics. Looks like nice functionality and I love the display but I wouldn’t lose the 945 functionality I have now.
Flanker, my guess would be that they are testing the functionality on the Venu range and it’s a more 'lifestyle' feature than a sports one, but I could be proved wrong.

It would take something to prise me away from my VA4, it may not be the perfect running watch (it patently isn't) but it does a lot of things very well and I wear it every day. I recently got a pair of compatible earbuds - a lot aren't - and it's added an extra dimension to it, I just downloaded a whole load of podcasts and it's proving to be a tremendous tool. Plus I have all my network speakers connected to it, so can send music to several rooms in the house via the watch

I love my VA4 too. Does what I need for running (I never used many advanced features of running watch anyway - just start, stop really!) and love all the other "lifestyle" features. Best one for me is Garmin Pay - I don't carry money, card or phone when running but can always get a snack, or even a bit of shopping, go to post office etc. out on a run.
I don't listen to music or podcasts when running, so doesn't help me there. In all other circumstances, I would have my phone. Mic and speakers would only be useful for me if it also took a SIM so I could make/receive calls. But even then, I'd probably rather not, when on a run! G
