Which is a bit stupid really - if you design a watch that'll only download via a phone, it needs to work on all phones.... I ain't buying a new phone! Sadly the only tablet I have is a work device. If it'll talk via my old ANT+ stick to the PC, that would work for now.

It won’t work with the ANT+ stick, they dropped that when they went to wireless comms with BT and WiFi. It supports ANT+ only for accessories like the heart rate monitor.

It's supposed to be lighter which means phones don't need as high a spec AIUI, but that means apps need to be redesigned and might not work if Android Go phones are missing hardware they need (not looked into it much)
