My watch is having a wobble with the wrist heartrate so have decided to bite the bullet and get an arm HRM.So guys what are the recommendations as I know a few of you have them?

I reset the watch this morning after telling me It was 125 over the hills when I know the average is around 139-142 but also cold this morning and it goes strange in the cold.

Thanks

Polar OH1+ hasn't missed a beat for me Welshpoppy. Though I'm not using it as much at the moment as it matches more or less beat for beat with my Garmin (provided I make sure the strap is on robustly and not loose). I'll still use it occasionally as a backup and others in the house use it too with a high degree of reliability reported.

Wahoo Tickr has been great for me, and has (or at least used to have?) longer battery life that the Polar. Both generally get v good reviews, as does the Scosche Rhythm.

If it's relevant, Wahoo doesn't store data on-device and iirc the Scosche does more running dynamics.

DCR did a comprehensive comparison, as is his want:

Thank you Larkin,Flanker and SPR,

I don't cycle or swim just run and Boot camp and use an indoor exercise bike occasionally. So will see which one suits me best.

I have a Verity Sense, and it's mostly very good - but occasionally it's way, way off. The latter is usually solved by fiddling a bit with where it is on my arm. (I have a sneaking suspicion that the problem may be related by the volume of post-covid fat I've accumulated on my arms)

I wear my OH1 on the inside under my bicep. Didn't work well on the outside for me.

Well maybe not what you want, but i have a Garmin HR PRO.
It's really good and have running dynamics metrics as well.
I had Wahoo before, and Garmin is better in my humble opinion, not backed up by any facts.

I wear the Polar OH1+ just below the elbow on the inside-top. I stopped putting it on the bicep as I found the sensor rubbed against my blubbery upper chest 🤣

I do have the Garmin HR Run strap which I used this morning.Seemed okay but it does tend to rub and leave welts on torso but was fine today.

I am writing them all down but think the polar one seems to tick my boxes and await the black Friday offers.
