Good to hear from AndyS that I'm not completely barking up the wrong tree!

I used to use the battery monitor widget to monitor rapid drains; it's very effective in giving you the info about whether it is set to run out quickly.

Not surprised disconnecting from the phone made a big difference to battery drain, even if there's not a synching issue. Even keeping things such as HR and steps data synched is relatively energy draining. I had an ultra where I forgot to turn off BT and a fully charged watch was dead in about 10 hours, and the fully charged phone was down to fumes.

@flanker
Yes but I haven’t changed anything, I always have the app “on” and connected.

Ok, thanks Larkim, will check it out.
So i charged the watch last night, it actually stayed at 3% the rest of the day, without the app running.
During night until this morning it went down to 97%, still app not running.
The connectors shined like gold, so there were no gunk at all, i still cleaned them though.
So i'll keep a look at this, and the logic now says its probably some corrupted file that keeps trying to be transfered or so.

@Badger, i'll try to do your fix soon as well if i see drainage again.
I'm a little hesitant though, i don't want to delete any metrics or so.

Factory reset time, Bowman? And then re-setup of course.
I do seem to need to do that whenever my watch throws a wobbly - fortunately, it doesn't do it often.

Yea that is usually a good way.
But I really don’t want to get in to that, I love Garmin, but saving settings and or re-setup their stuff is not the most straight forward thing.

It would be nice if it was as easy as setting up a new iPhone from an old one :)
No drainage today, 90% still left after the whole day, and a little short run.
I’ll se how it develops.
