Is there anyone who uses a fenix with stryd here? I went of my first run after system update today (Richmond HM) and while all power stats went fine to garmin, nothing went to powercenter… curious if it was a random glitch or if 19.20 broke something on that connection

Fenix 6x here, and the runs I’ve done with my Stryd with 19.20 have both gone through no problem.

I finished a Half today using my Fenix 6x Pro, and because I stopped so abruptly at the finish line it thought I'd fallen over and offered to text my OH to come and rescue me :) (It wouldn't have worked as I didn't have my phone, but I found it amusing as I was staggering about the finish...plus it turns out she was only metres away anyway).

Thanks Badger… hopefully a random glitch then. Will see what happens tomorrow

Big_G, during my half today i actually fell quite badly (no harm done). My fenix couldn’t care less, the little ass

Probably not possible, but is there any way of removing the impact of sharing my watch with my wife yesterday? She ran a long trail race and used my watch for the battery life, but of course now that activity has influenced the various performance condition / VO2Max scores etc.

I had deleted the connection between my watch and phone using Connect prior to her using it, and I deleted the .fit file entry from her run (after extracting it in USB mode) from the watch before restoring the connection, but the "on watch" calculations about training load etc remain. I've deleted the whole day's "activities" (e.g. steps etc) from Connect too, but lingering traces of her (quite different to my) pace remain.

I suspect with hindsight what I should have done was factory re-set the watch before re-syncing to my Garmin account, but if there is a way to tweak these things I'd love to know!

Factory resetting seems the safest method.

The other option might be for her to use one of the activity profiles that doesn't contribute to the running dynamics / metrics. On the older models this used to be trail running, but on the F6 / 945 even this now feeds into the various metrics. I'm not sure if there are any that are still exempt.

Cheers Flanker - I had actually copied "run" and given it her name so she could have some custom settings, but hadn't occurred to me that perhaps a different choice could have helped out.

Pretty niche use-case in any event, but food for thought if she gets keen on running for 4 hours again in the future!

Depends on the watch. Even with the F6, you can turn off the metrics feeding into VO2max for Trail and Ultra run modes. Depending what you have, that might be an option.
