OK then, the lessons are:
- Do not enable the auto-pause function.
- Always remember to press the pause button when you stop and start.

On the other hand Autolap's ace. I was measuring my run in miles today (as my training plan dictates), but as I'm used to running 10k races minutes/mile means nothing to me. Autolap was still set to kilometres, so I got regular updates as to my pace in a unit I recognised and could compare easily.

I have not yet but I will take advantage of the autolap functionality, at a 1 mile increment.

Heck Flanker that's genius
I would add my support to the crapness od auto-pause it gets sooooo confused!
Also if you stop and hit the stop/start you must remember to start the stoopid thing...... I got caught out yesterday on my long run when I stopped to retie a lace and wondered a mile (ish) later why I was running so fast and then noted the clock was paused! Doh!!!

Stupid question here ... how do you pause rather than stop/start?

Bree, just stop/start it. If you haven't reset the counters in between (by pressing and holding lap for 3 secs) it carries on from where it was.
