Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Reporting back from my baby shampoo experiment...excellent visibility, I very much enjoyed being able to see the buoys all the way down the lake yesterday evening, but my 'tiniest smear' wasn't tiny enough in my left goggle which led to a fairly sore eye! Much better now but definitely one to be careful of.

I have also tried it with good results, although part of the coating has started to come off my Zoggs Predators. Could be a coincidence as I have had them for bloody ages. Worked well in my prescription goggles, though, which I wore one day as you lot shamed me into it :)

I have never tried anything in my goggles. Just rinse after each swim.

Maybe I should give the baby shampoo a go.

Quite a different experience at my swim coaching this morning - some drills with a belt around my waist, pulling a cable down the pool, with increasing amounts of water added to make the cable heavier. Apparently the idea was to get me pushing back throughout the stroke, as I tend to bail out once my hand has gone past my hip. The bit where you kick gently on your back and it tows you back to the end is quite relaxing!

Hope everyone is still swimming well :-)

Ooh I like the sound of being towed back 🤣

My coach calls me a hand flapper as I also 'give up' past the hip.
