Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

LinsD I'm now wondering if shorter lengths lose you time by slowing to turn more often, or if you gain more from more frequent strong push-offs :-) There must be an optimum pool length for this sort of effort.

Nice effort Dvorak! Hope you had a good holiday.

Lol Dvorak.

You gain, not loose Cas.

Short course (25m) times are quicker than long course (50m).

OW is slower again as no push offs.

So Eric probably would have been a bit quicker in a short course pool. He'd never seen a 10m pool till he arrived at the Olympics.

As well as the push, the swum distance is shorter. The middle of the swimmer stops about a metre from the end.

LindsD give it a go, see how you go.

I think I'd get dizzy spinning around that often.

I did a feature request re badge filter for anyone that's interested.

It's feature 1852. I can't work out how to do a link to it.

He he.

Yep, very pleased to have ticked off my nearly 2 hours, nearly 3 mile swim. Next target is a 3 hour swim. Then it’s Coniston. 😮
