You're in a good position to comment on those players, Flatlander. (We are in neighbouring villages.) Yes, the intermittent one seems to be going for occasional cycle rides, at the moment. The other one has had me a bit puzzled, because his homepoint area could be in a field. Your explanation makes sense. Thanks. My wife is registered too, and to an extent, her bugs don't fall where she doesn't go much. You and I clear our bugs, so it's difficult to see overall where ours fell, but we can see the ones that other players haven't cleared. I can see that confirmation bias could have something to do with our interpretation. We do look for patterns, even if they aren't really there. Fetch would know, after all.

My home point is in a park, because I didn't want to put it right on my actual home - could be something like that?

My home point isn't my actual home because I wanted to optimise the position of the edges of my circle and have a way of clearing my bug without dicing with country lanes in the dark. eL Bee! has moved his circle so that it no longer overlaps fully with mine, which I assume will result in fewer traffic lights and fewer flowers.

Yes, it could well be, Badger. These are good reasons. Very wise. Yes, this player probably moved his point to coincide with where he usually runs to.

My home point is in town rather than the village I live in as it sat better with WSW runs. I also placed it strategically so our club run warm up location is outside the circle.

The edge of my circle is next to my actual house so I live outside my circle, just... purely because I got caught out one to many times not leaving my circle!
BTW... the ring has moved... looks like Arrtoo moved it to Sudely Castle... which I didn't know existed... might have to go for an explore... sounds interesting

Flowers, they are planted every half mile. But is that measured from the start of the run or from when you leave the circle?

Which is why if you run much the same routes, you want to vary your starting position, e.g. a 100m up the road, so that new flowers can be planted in spots not already occupied by your flowers from previous runs.

Bug question: I am only just returning to running so only short distances at the moment (and lots of bugs to clear). If I was to stop my Garmin after my running distance and immediately start another training event to carry on walking outside of my circle can I link the two events for Fetchpoint? I think the answer is No but thought I would check.
