It isn't a million miles from me, but the idea of getting the bike over there in this weather doesn't fill me with joy to be honest... but maybe if we get a dry spell? My running just isn't fast enough to move it any distance worth really doing!

Does anyone else purge the really muddy bits for the winter? Technically they're not inaccessible, but I've never been a fan of the cross country stuff.

I move my bug if it lands on certain off-road paths after there's been a lot of rain. Although not technically inaccessible, at this time of year I don't have time on weekdays to do my actual training and go for a long walk in the dark wearing my wellies.

i mark stuff as unreachable if a footpath is ploughed up or truly unrunable. your circle your rules is what i say

Yep, I mark as unreachable on paths that get waterlogged in the winter. As Doc says, your circle, your rules.

I know we've had this debate a thousand times but I tend to keep on ploughing on. Putting on a headtorch and going for a muddy bimble to squish some markers is part of the challenge of the game.

That's my approach too Oranj - but the fact that I'm comfortable trotting along a muddy footpath through the woods above the river in the dark doesn't mean it's right for everyone. If others wouldn't feel safe then it's fine to mark things as inaccessible and avoid the area.
'My circle, my rules' is a perfectly reasonable approach in my eyes.
