congratulations to your son & daughter in law and to you too. How lovely to have a little grandson in your life.
I overcooked my toast as I was in middle of submitting my covid test results to travel to Iceland. But poached egg was perfect.

Hello everyone.
I have returned to fetch after an absence of 2.5 years. A lot has happened :-D. I thought I’d better check in a few of my previous haunts.
I am not actively seeking weight loss, but am seeking better health, and I expect some weight loss as part of that. I weigh only sporadically and appear to have lost a bit since moving out of the previous house (and retiring) in mid July.
I joined the leisure centre last week, and they’ve got a Boditrax machine which zaps you with electricity in 4 places and works out how much of you is made of what. It said my fat percentage was very high. I was shocked, I tell you!! It also said my muscle score was very good - 22/24, so that was pleasing. My visceral fat was above the ideal range, but not by much.
I’ve set myself a goal to increase muscle mass by 1.6kg, reduce fat mass by 2.9kg and reduce visceral fat from 15 to 12 (don’t know what the units are, but 12 is the top of normal)
I’ll give it a month or so before I do another test. I have a keen sense of how long it takes to lose body weight (don’t we all) and to some extent fat. But no idea how quickly you can reduce visceral fat, or add muscle.

Welcome back RevB can’t believe it’s been 2.5yrs since you were around Fetch. I’m sure with good healthy eating and exercise you’ll soon get there.
I had my trip to Iceland last week it was phenomenal we didn’t eat or drink a great amount I got on the scales but after last few weeks I’ve realised I’m heavier on a Monday it regulates by the weekend. I’m not going to record my weight until beginning of the month as it’s been messing with my head too much.
So I’ll continue the healthier eating and see what happens come the 1st.
Last couple of weeks to boost my mileage for Loch Ness training and I’m planning food for fuel again so it may help if I keep a sensible balance.
I am so so tired I need to squeeze a run, food shopping and have my mum coming tonight so let’s see how it goes!
Hope everyone is ok out there.

Well hello Rev! Very good to see you back on Fetch! I would quite like to be zapped to tell me what percentage is what in my body, but I suspect I wouldn't like the results I've had a reminder about my annual blood tests from the surgery so that would be a start.
I will weigh tomorrow. I bet I'm still not below that magic half-stone line I'm aiming for but then, wishful thinking isn't a great basis for weight loss

Hello Rev
I dread being zapped as my result would be terrible.

I am notoriously bad for drinking water. I used to be so so good. So I’ve been suckered in by marketing and a friend saying they got one and it helped. It’s an Ulla, a little device you attach to your water bottle/glass it omits a light every 1/2hr and hou theory is you have a drink it resets and repeat. So let’s see if it helps!!
