Fragile Do Not Bend
My experience is that large amounts of exercise never result in a corresponding weight loss you can point to and say “that was because of that marathon” or whatever. I think the body is more complicated than that. Any immediate differences in either direction are more likely to be due to how much water is in the body.

I drink 500 ml of coffee each morning, so that’s half a kilo of weight put on instantly. Until I next go to the loo. Daily fluctuations due to food and drink can be quite large. And there’s the water retention due to muscle repair that RH mentioned. And hormones.

I just think of exercise as improving my overall calorie burning ability and showing its benefits gradually.

I'm still bobbing along losing and gaining the same few pounds. But feeling more positvie this week so hopefully the downward bobs will start to outweigh the upward ones over time!!

I now know why I'm fat and hadn't been able to loose weight in the last few years...It's the essay writing. I had a year's break last year and lost two stone (with slight ups and downs) now that deadline day is near I'm mainlining sugar. Almost as if for my brain to work my mouth must be full. :-(

Fragile Do Not Bend
Another pound lost in SW week 2.

Next few weeks will be more tricky as we are off work. We are going away to SIL’s for a few days so that will mean alcohol :D and we will also have other days out which will mean meals out.

Straight after that we are having a new kitchen fitted. I don’t think I picked the right time to start dieting!

Irontubs
Hello my lovelies

I've been bimbling along the same pathway as Kwala, needing to get a grip and make a proper difference. Running is hard enough without dragging this excess baggage about. Plus it makes me dislike myself ALOT.

Happy Friday my fellow FF'ers.
