I passed through CP8 of the Bike Challenge this morning. Just over 300 miles to go, hopefully I'll finish in 2 more weeks.

In the run/walk, I'm staying a little bit ahead of Darwin and I suspect I'll finish only a few days ahead of the dragon at the end of October.

I'm on a road, fields either side but little else to see, at least the picture says I'm in England, so I'm not lost yet!

Having completed it I have to say thanks to McGoohan and fetcheveryone for making this one, but also a heads up to Fetch, despite finishing every time I upload a walk it notifies me that I've moved to a new spot on the Virtual Challenge.

I've arrived in Addingham after today's run. It's on the route of the Ilkley Half Marathon which, presumably by complete coincidence, has sent me a discount code to use against the entry fee for this year's race today.

Southerner here...I've got as far as Yorkshire on the walk/run, and it's all sweeping views and dry stone walls and the occasional remote house whenever I've parked up recently. Looks like an absolutely beautiful part of the world. Having very rarely ventured north of Watford, I'm a bit disappointed in myself for not having explored the country a bit more!

It's not too late Joe1970 we've explored more of the UK since covid struck than the preceeding 29 years of our marriage. There's still an awful lot more we haven't seen but we shall continue while we are able to.

Remember that Yorkshire is still in the southern half of Great Britain. Lots of good stuff beyond!
