First time on these challenges that Iβve actually landed on a badge point. St Margaretβs Cathedral is underwhelming for a cathedral and the presbyterian church over the road is like a minor public hall. They must have been a dour lot in Ayr when they built them. I much prefer the little churches that MsG posts photos of.

If you lived in Ayr you'd understand the dour bit RR ![]() Finally caught up to that pesky dragon woohoo! Should make CP2 with tomorrow's parkrun outing and then I'll hopefully not have any more trouble staying on schedule. Been a bit nip and tuck catching up after a brief covid break. |

Sushi.
Iβm camping not far from Bassenthwaite this evening which has brought my Dad to mind. You could always rely on him pointing out, whenever we were nearby, that Bassenthwaite Lake is the only lake in the Lake District. He was from Cumbria so we heard it a lot as children when we were visiting his parents. I do love the Northern Lakes but am quite relieved that Sundays Mara should see me through Bowness without having to stop. |

Iβm camping not far from Bassenthwaite this evening which has brought my Dad to mind. You could always rely on him pointing out, whenever we were nearby, that Bassenthwaite Lake is the only lake in the Lake District. Had a couple of cracking scout camps at Bassenthwaite so there must be a good field for your tent. |

Velociraptor
My youngest daughter spent most of a summer living in a tent beside Bassenthwaite a couple of years ago.
