Interesting link Kwala. There’s also the cancer research Sept 30 day fitness challenge too
Miss Chappo I think it could motivate us to pick something that you can then chop away at
Today I got it in my head to do 1/2 mile swim.,, wow.. that’s like 40mins for me at the moment! Brings it home when you realise how far that is on its own to swim. But I loved it!

There's one thing about doing more, I'm awake so early!
Trying to plan the day as it's a bit murky outside.
I'm also trying to come to terms with back to work, we've still 3 days hols but I've grown used to being at home and doing what I want! Going to be odd going back to the routine if work...

I lost 1.7 kg last week
This morning I had yoghurt, blueberries and chia seeds for breakfast. This is literally unheard of. I have NEVER had that breakfast before.

Nice one on the breakfast Chappo! & The weight loss... good stuff
Hello Night Owl - come on in.. the more the merrier as it helps us all to stay on a positive vibe and not focus on the huge stuff that we can only stage in little smart steps
I just had a "Lakes" experience. The weather was pretty grey but alright so I ran to the gym - LUCKILY I took my Lakes jacket "just in case" - watching out the window of the swimming pool I could see it bouncing down! Was just like being out in the Lakes on the walk home - at least I felt smug that rain didnt stop play today
I'm now a mile on in my channel challenge.. 20 to go (God only knows how people actually do swim that far - my respectometer is showing "massive"!) - takes me about 40mins to swim that but I am totally absorbed - what an amazing thing swimming is for the feel good factior - you can just drift away concentrating on breath and technique - love it
Lazy day for us. Focus from tomorrow - Keep finding those lovely cheeky smiles! Everywhere - hunt them down!!
- Water water water - BIG time - Back to green tea (forget coffee totally)
- Run & Gym habbits
I've a small cold brewing - this is familiar to me from years ago in the gym environment - may be echinacea time, get some oranges on the go and just keep an eye on myself for not going too nuts
A word about this - my body really does respond to training when it's in the zone - I am in mind that last year I was pushing out longer runs and my body was not happy - longer runs would be around 2-3 hrs of constant running - during week days probably at least 3 milers if not more.. previous years I've kept 1500 miles on the doors.. so I am not worried about the changes or amount of training - we're sleeping loads more and better quality, I feel really BOING and I'm chuffed to feel progress. I am aware of our danger to overtrain... I've got my eye on it

I weighed myself yesterday and would like to lose 1st. I’m not giving myself a definite deadline but by the end of November would be excellent.
I ran 10 miles in the rain today even though I couldn’t find my rain jacket, just to prove to myself that I could.
I’ve eaten well and mindfully (ie thinking about what I’m eating and why). I can be pleased with how the past few days have gone in terms of food and exercise.
Miss Chappo - what would a more usual breakfast be for you? I often have something like you described, or poached fish and vegetables if I’m not needing anything sweet.

Hi Paula, normally on the weekend I'd have toast and butter and marmite. During the week I generally don't have breakfast before I leave the house and have some sort of cereal bar and a cup of tea just after getting to work - either a 9 bar or the protein version of those eat natural bars. Last week a couple of days I managed yoghurt before leaving and if not I had Pret protein pot - 2 boiled eggs and spinach.

I travelled to Oslo on Thursday night after work and back on Friday night (for a job that is not my main work). Both days I think I ate 4 meals but they were almost all salad.
Did you know in Oslo if your company rents an office in a block, you get a free canteen as part of the deal????

10miles... that's impressive.. I dream of being back in double figures, and in the rain 😊 It pelted down more or less all day here yesterday. Thing with rain and running is once your out there you may as well stay out there. Nice one Paula
Weight loss is important, tactic & timing are our own. Sounds achievable to me though!
Chappo I hadn't realised you were in Norway, is that your home country? Oslo canteen plan sounds great! Uk doesn't offer such perks, we get free tea & coffee and in our office we do have fruit & nuts
Fruit I am trying to restrict though as I'm not sure lots and lots is that good for you sugar wise? Or is that just silly?!
