Make sure it's got a decent one, you lose a lot of structural rigidity when you cut the roof out a van so the better ones do add a degree of reinforcement. There's a company in Cornwall that retro-fits genuine California pop-tops to T5s/T6s, this is a very expensive option but it's about as good as they get in terms of a pop-top.
Mandymoo Jan 2021 6:41pm, 29 Jan 2021 11,028 posts	0 Mandymoo We are very lucky that we have a very highly recommended company locally. Its one of the reason I didn't want to have one - messing with a van, the noise etc. But having seen a few, and OH being 6 ft 3 it would be good.

It's not the most powerful or responsive drive in the world, but then I'm trying to adopt the outlook that the travelling is as leisurely and relaxing as the being there. (And if I do need to change down and put my foot to the floor, it helps to prevent that annoying orange VW emissions warning light from lighting up on the dashboard display.)
