The bigger van will be brilliant for staying in - and your compromise is likely to come from where you drive and where you park. A bit more thought / planning can overcome that easily. (Coming from someone who has both a T5 and a 7m Rollerteam Moho) Thanks, that's comforting to hear. Yes, we were chatting yesterday and I guess a big difference will be at the moment we find a campsite in the area we want to visit and then set out every day to a different part of that island, returning to the same campsite. I think in the bigger van we're more likely to choose a couple of campsites so that we can explore smaller areas without moving the van and then schedule visits of places on the way to the next stop over. We'll also have much more choices of places to go, as we will be far happier in official stopovers that are not campsites. So maybe a couple of nights in a forestry "stay the night" type of place followed by a night in a campsite. |

Wish you all the best with it Ronnie, you'll have lots of good adventures I'm sure. We're all packed and will be setting off for Skye soon. We're planning to park in the car park for Bla Bheinn, sleeping in the van then climbing the hill first thing tomorrow morning. I hope the weather is as good as it looks on the forecast. Hugs to you @Mandymoo , I hope you have a lovely holiday. |

Enjoy Mandy you've earned this one That sounds fab mrs shanksi, that's how I thought I'd be using mine more - but Husband will insist on coming with me and that changes the walks that get done. |

Looking good RR! Enjoy your trips everyone, I am off to Dorset in my one man tent tomorrow, hoping that it isn't too wet, no doubt cursing everyone in their dry warm campervans! |

Sorry if this is a numpty question but where is good to find sites, both here and Europe? Slowly working out how things work and wondering about taking the van out either this weekend or next. |

I tend to use ‘searchforsites’ - I use the mobile app, but there’s also a website version. It tends to more than meet my needs and I’m happy to pay the small annual subscription fee.
