We stopped off in Chamonix today, which was a great town. Obviously famous for skiing and we went up one of the mountains to over 5000ft. Tigg enjoyed the ride up on the cable car. Stunning scenery over to Mont Blanc, which we then drove through via an 11km tunnel. Arrived at our site for one night on the outskirts of Milan, and it’s 30Deg. Plenty of shade though. About to figure out logistics to hopefully get to Milano Nord parkrun on time tomorrow, which is roughly 35mins away but not sure on parking at the moment. If there’s a supermarket nearby we’ll park there I’d have thought. |

We've just parked up at an industrial estate in Milngavie. I won't bother posting a photo!

I’m not in the market for one, but there are some great looking ‘tent boxes’ here. Lots of nationalities and different varieties/brands of tent boxes, but one quite large that looks good. Looks like the sleeping area is on the roof of the car, but it’s all folded out into effectively a massive awning on the side of the car, and a canopy on the side of that as well.

I’m loving the photos that everyone is posting. I think however for me the photo that Rosehip shared above sums up what I look for when camping (in whatever form). A bit of peace in the countryside and a mug of something nice.
