We love the Cairngorms too but won't be going back for a while - hopefully in teh autumn or winter.
Have a good time, Cath - hope Nic enjoys herself.

We go to Cornwall on Saturday night. We'll drive down to Bristol ish, stop at a services for a couple of hours sleep then drive on to Bude, park in the car park in time for breakfast and have a morning on the beach before we go to the caravan site at lunchtime. We like to arrive early on day 1 so feel as if we get an extra day away in effect.

I also love the Cairngorms. I managed to crack the 4000s in about 7 hours a couple of years back, but I definitely have unfinished business there. I'm slightly scared of the place, every time I go there I leave with a crushing hangover.

Hope the weather is better than forecast for all over the weekend!

Currently in Brownhills free stopover for the night to get a headstart in the morning and fill the gas bottle up.
Heding to Hayfield for the weekend as we had CCC vouchers to use.

Fill up on fuel, there’s apparently a problem with the petrol station there.

I’m wanting to do the Rum hills one day.

Sound like great plans :)

It’s raining, better than the hailstorm we had an hour ago though

Well, we’re onsite. It’s a nice, quiet CS with lovely, clean facilities. I’ll be ok, but Nic would apparently still prefer to be in an Airbnb 🙄
