Not sharing a small space in the van with bog-juice soaked shoes and sweaty Ts sounds like an excellent idea. (I think I shall find a lidded plastic box to store any whiffy kit in when it can’t be hung outside) |

Plastic lidded boxes are a motorhomer's or campervanner's friend! Our motorhome has a great all the way through garage, and the tandem fits in it. Just waiting for husband to recover from his second hip replacement last Friday and we can be off again |

OH keeps going on about a motorhome so I thought we would look today to make him realise that it's not for us. Backfired as I found one I really like but it's way out of our price range. Will just make him.want one more now, have told him he needs to go back to work!!!

I'm thinking LWB van, lightly converted, to use as day van and secure garage coupled with a new caravan to live in whilst on tour. However, MrsC and the FlyingScotsman went to Strathclyde uni for an open day yesterday. This prompted some Conversation (yes, with a capital "C") last night and it's clear that pipe dreams such as those noted above will remain exactly that for at least 8 years. Still, it could be worse. It could have become apparent that I urgently need to find more permanent and lucrative employment..... ach scheiße |

It happens Merrymoo....... Ah Angus, I feel your pain. Our youngest left home over 8 years ago, but both girls are shocked that we're planning to get a van and, *do our own thing*!!! They're 33 & 28! On that note, any advice on here regarding insurance? I've done some online quotes and am pleasantly surprised. It looks like we're going ALL IN with Nellie, we've got a few hours with her tomorrow to confirm and a condition of our house sale/apartment purchase is that our secure parking space will be 6.3m X 2.2M! So all advice (particularly about insurance) would be gratefully received. |

The views are just stunning aren't they?. I found the drive to the top the worse bit - just loved the whole experience from arriving at the top to landing 😁
