Thanks XB :)

If (when) we go to Spain for the winter we'll drive down and take a few days getting there. No way you’ll catch me anywhere near the Bay of Biscay in a boat. No sirree.

I didn’t find it too bad; Alice the Camel was on the same boat but she didn’t enjoy it at all. And the drive through Spain was really nice. We stopped 3 times en route in approved car parks.

*pops in* The only reason we were on that blinking boat was because of the French border closures!!! Normally we take Eurotunnel and spend a few days driving through France and Spain. As XB says, the drive is very pleasant and it’s become part of the holiday. *clears off again *

I’ve just visited the MoHo in storage. Like a muppet I forgot to take jump leads and the cab battery is pretty flat. I’ve ordered a solar trickle charger now to see if that helps - I’ll maybe go up in the week with jump leads and try and fit the trickle charger.

I'm driving to Romania in June assuming the borders are all ok.

Have done across France into Spain and into Portugal in the last 2 years.

I'd be rather wary of the Bay of Biscay too. 36 hours would seem an eternity if it was rough. Driving through France would be our choice too.

Sensible. I've spent a lot of time puking up when crossing the Bay of Biscay

We've used that ferry a few times but only to save time because we had limited annual leave. I do suffer from seasickness but we were lucky to have calm crossings.
From the end of March, time won't be a problem :)
