We’ve enjoyed our few nights away and are back in love with the camper van life. The frustration and anguish of all those months of waiting have dissolved away. We go home tomorrow but it will be later in the day as we’ll take advantage of the on-board facilities to extend our trip with a day in Scarborough or Filey.

It’s good you’re finally getting to have some breaks in it.
I was surprised how many campers I saw on the roads and sites that were open as I drove around what is admittedly a tourist area. But perhaps, like me, they’d chosen to travel this weekend as the weather was fine - not raining.

We did quite a few mini breaks last year. It's amazing how much better we felt even if it was only a couple of nights less than fifty miles from home.

We are on our way home after our first night in the new motor home! Having all that extra space is fab! We don’t have any races booked next weekend so we’ll probably head up to a forest and wild camp!
