I always like to book so I know its all sorted but others don't and are happy to just try and rock up somewhere. We did this when we stopped at Dole on the way to Annecy and they were fully booked, thankfully they squeezed us in as didn't need much space for one night We use the tunnel for trips using out tesco vlubcsrd vouchers (3 x value).
