Am doing the Ride 100 next year in May and we normally stay at Lee Valley but they ha e changed the start/finish this time and it is from Embankment - other than stay in a hotel, does anyone know any where close to Victoria Embankment to stay? It's probably going to end up being cheaper to book a hotel with congestion charge etc |

You have a huge choice there Merrymoo with coast, dales, moors etc. I would say that the Tan Hill Inn is becoming a bit of a destination for campervanners (just don't go when a storm is forecast) |

Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay, the beach at Filey. Sutton Bank, walking/running in the woods by the white horse. There’s also mountain biking in the Moors, can’t remember the name of the place off the top of my head. I’ll get back to you. |

As normal cycling, paddleboarding, dog walking are all on the cards if possible Thanks Be sure to sort out your visa well in advance Mandy. Also be prepared for a lengthy wait at the checkpoint(s) if you come via Lancashire. I know the guards take bribes, so a tenner folded into your passport will go a long way to greasing the skids (so to speak). |
