I think those diesel heaters are very well made these days. I don’t imagine there’s much risk associated. Caveat: not a heating engineer!!

I'd never leave a gas heater on. We usually leave the electric heater on low if we've got a hook-up. If we're off-grid we use extra blankets.

Ours is on a storage site. Never left the heating on - last winter I’d visit every 3-4 weeks, run the engine for a bit and switch over the dehumidifiers (which I doubt do very much use as they’re the cheapo ones that don’t need electricity).

We’ve had the electric trip a few times but that is a fault with the supply, not with our van. We’ve just cracked open the champagne 🥂 Cheers!
