We saw a lovely rust coloured young adder today on the moor. Mrs JD saw a lizard too. Green tiger beetles everywhere, too.
And lots of stonechats along a track called Chats Lane.

I noticed yesterday our garden and feeders were mobbed by starlings - young(ish) and adult. Fighting and squabbling on all the feeders except one, which they all left well alone.
The peanuts were occupied by the female adult GSW. I know she doesn't like sharing with anything, but how do the starlings, especially the young, already know to leave her well alone.
