We don’t get Greenfinch or Chaffinch.

(Says this is the hope that they are on fetch and pop in tomorrow 😉)

We don't often get them, but saw a pair of Bullfinches in our apple tree (eating buds, so a mixed blessing!)

I was sitting underneath the damson tree a couple of weeks ago, being gently bombarded by bits of green. When I looked up, a female bullfinch was methodically stripping all the flower buds. Once more, we will be without damsons.

But I do love bullfinches.

Spring is officially here - I have been bitten by a goose (twice, the same one got me on the way to and from work!) along with a forceful bodyslam from behind 😮

In other news, it snowed today 🤣

Yep. I had the hugest bee hit my window this morning. Then sleet early evening. Sure signs of a British spring!

I echo the obvious increase in Greenfinch occurrences; locally they have "come back' this last couple of years. Jays on the other hand have decreased on my patch and haven't been in the garden for a year. (Cardiff area).
Another be Willow Warbler singing this morning. Goose bumps are best avoided KinkyS !

No greenfinch here, some jays. No warblers, swallow or cuckoo yet.
