Here's the route around the lake that I reimported to Fetch. fetcheveryone.com/training-log-view.php?id=22983759 There's more on the busy road than I remember. |

This is a loop we did a few years back (walking). It's really nice with great views and pretty much avoids the road. That said it adds more climb, more distance and might need some grippier shoes! Would alter the bit over Monk Coniston Moor if we did it again. You could probably combine it with the Coniston 14 route to miss out the road bits of the A593 and A5084 but keep the bits on the road down the eastern side of the lake to avoid the busy road but reduce the distance/climb. fetcheveryone.com/route-1862204 |

Hi All. If any lakes based folk heads are interested, I've 5 tickets to Lau at the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal at the end of the month (Sat 27). Had intended to take the family over for a weekend of hills based fun, but then they organised a gig in Belfast for the following week and it became increasingly difficult to justify the trip over! Long story short, free to a good home, or feel free to make a small donation to the Mourne Mountain Recuse in lieu if necessary. Drop me an Fmail to claim, first come first served. P |

Which gig in Belfast, Paul N? I'm wondering if I'll see you there. (Can't help with the Kendal tix but i wonder if Valyrian Plastic might have contacts.)

Rosemary Street Church on the 3rd May. I've wanted to see them for aged, and don't think they've been this side of the Irish sea since around 2016. Naturally a day or two after I decide to take it on the chin and buy tickets for Kendal, they announce a night for a mile down the road! |

As a resident of Kendal, I regret that I can't take those tickets from you Paul (I'll be in Scotland that weekend doing a silly long race) but I'll ask around a bit.

Enjoy. The first 20 miles are far too runnable ... and then it gets interesting after Conic.
