Ah, I didn’t read the link - assumed it was paywalled.

Just realised that the link on previous page was to the wrong campsite (the farm being just a bit further up the road). The site we have stayed at is Castlerigg Hall castlerigg.co.uk I'm sure the other is just as good ;-)

The farm is where I’d stayed, it’s very nice with lots of room for tents.

The view from behind my tent at Castlerigg farm

A new installation in the lakes. Can anyone spot/identify where it is? "‘Borrowdale Banksy’ mystery leaves mark on the fells" thetimes.co.uk

It looks to me to be somewhere on the east slopes of Maiden Moor/High Spy, maybe around Nitting Haws or slightly further north?

I read someone say there was some scrambling required to get to it rather than it being on a path.

Both look awesome, so I've book marked both so when it comes to booking a place we have a list of places to search through.

Looks a good call SimonF. I thoght I'd have some photos to compare the view, but only from the top, so missing much of the foreground in the picture.

I never thought I'd say it, but it's too hot for walking! Did Bessyboot this morning but struggling towards the end.
Not expecting to do anything tomorrow - it's forecast for hotter still
