Yes. Or some places have a freezer you can get to when the shop is closed.

I can really recommend this site ... maybe not the cheapest, but the facilities are excellent (warm shower for your dog!). We've stayed in our very basic caravan and their static caravans, but not a tent though. castleriggfarm.com |

stilldreamingofawhitechristmas I've camped there, but not for many years, probably over a decade. Same as I've camped at NT Langale, Wasdale and Wray. All good, but it was a long time ago.

Agrees with stilldreaming, that’s a lovely site. I would have recommended Burns farm also, but they’ve done a lot of development and tending towards glamping and put their prices up. We’ll probably use it with the van at the edges of the season, but I wouldn’t camp there again now |

Way back I also stayed at the campsite near Brothers Water, that was also good.

Also recommend the Castlerigg Farm site. About 10 years since we used it but friends have more recently and found it to be good. It’s certainly developed since we first stayed there when it was a field with toilets at a farm building and the farmers came round in the morning selling milk and juice!! |

A new installation in the lakes. Can anyone spot/identify where it is? "‘Borrowdale Banksy’ mystery leaves mark on the fells" thetimes.co.uk |

The Times is a while behind the news, didn’t that collapse back in the spring? Or is it a new one?

A new one ... supposedly, as per the report. With the precise location not being shared. |
