Hmm. Looks like we'll have to be careful about where we go during the week. Think I'll suggest we do our main food shop before we come up in case deliveries to supermarkets are disrupted.
What are the best sources of info re flooding - ie areas and roads to avoid?

Well both Holmrook and Duddon Valley Bridges have 21 day closure notices in place so i would avoid anything on the western coast below Whitehaven any time soon. Gonna cause some fun locally as there will be people below one or both who need to go above them to work.

They need to wait for waters to go down to see if there is any damage i gather.

I was due to do OMM this weekend too with DD2, but they rightly called it off early.

Main marquee destroyed overnight and they can't get the comms posts out during the day today. Parking field under water and the suspected overnight camp stop in Borrowdale also under water.
Really feel for them after last year's was Covid-ed off. This year's had to be moved from Scotland and now cancelled.
3rd time lucky for next year.
