larkim Aug 2022 2:21pm, 16 Aug 2022 18,692 posts	0 larkim Given the junior athletes that become throw specialists tend to build up at least some technique in all four disciplines, this isn't really beyond the pale to come up with something using the IAAF / WA scoring tables. As I think I posted on the T&F or elite athletics threads, I was really surprised when I looked at the "worlds bests" performances in decathlon and heptathlon to see that its the throws, rather than the 1500m / 800m, which are technically the "worst" disciplines for the multieventers. Less surprised for the heptathletes I suppose, but on TV it certainly looks like the decathletes are doing "OK" in the throws whereas the 1500m they look pedestrian.
